Join us for the launch of the Federal Green Bank Campaign, a comprehensive effort to mobilize stakeholders from across the country in support of the passage of federal Green Bank legislation. 10:00 – 10:30 AM: Panel: Addressing Urgent Climate Investment Needs Through Green Banks

Presidential leadership will be important to the establishment of a federal Green Bank. This panel will discuss the various Green Bank proposals from 2020 presidential candidates, and speak about the impact that these proposals could have on the US clean energy economy.

Green Banks in the US are finding new and innovative ways of scaling up their impact to deliver on their mission of maximizing GHG reductions and saving consumers money on their energy bills. Recently, innovative new structures for co-investment between the public, private, and philanthropic sectors have emerged across the US. Many of the newest Green Banks have diverged from the traditional model of relying primarily on public funds, and instead have moved towards a more diverse set of funding sources. PRI investments, private capital, and other creative funding sources are shaping up to be a key driver behind this new approach for Green Banks.
